I am a Postdoctoral Fellow and Lecturer in the Department of Government at the University of Texas at Austin. My research focuses on the relationship between political order and conflict. I received my PhD from UT Austin in 2021, and in my dissertation I combine formal theory, archival work, and statistical modeling to explain why and when civil wars become interstate wars.
I am also a National Security Fellow with the Clements Center for National Security, and I have previously been a research assistant at the Strauss Center for International Security and Law and a junior research fellow at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI).
